EVALUATION - FEATURE OVERVIEW

In the Learnsoft LMS,

Evaluations are- a feature that helps ensure organizations are able to meet and document various internal and external compliance standards. Overview

For example, a government agency may require all or certain groups of employees to document that they have taken and passed a specific course or series of courses within a valid timeframe (again, for example, let’s say that all Physicians and Nurses working at a hospital must take specific Ebola training every year). The Evaluation feature wouldEvaluations enable the LMScreation, administratorsdistribution, completion collection, aggregation and managers to assign evaluation to a specific course (or groupreporting of courses)appraisal and track those users who have successfully completed those courses. It can then make this information available to managers or regulators. If desired (or required), it can even allow the users to print evaluations that they can use for their own, internal organization or external organizational (e.g. Continuing education credits required by the American Medical Association - AMA) needs.

Note, the Learnsoft LMS system enables evaluation to be associated with multiple courses (see prior paragraph) and to allow a single course to be associated with multiple evaluations (for example, a single “Ebola Training” course can be associated with “Contagious Disease Evaluation” for Physicians and “RN Annual evaluation” for Registered Nurses (and more).information.

The Learnsoft LMS supports the use of two basic kinds of Evaluations –

  • (i)       Class / Instructor Evaluations completed by students. (Evaluations can also be used by instructors to evaluate students in a class).
  • (ii)       Evaluations related to the Talent Management modules of the Learnsoft system, in which a manager or peer evaluates an employee

This guide will focus on the Class / Instructor Evaluations.

A Sample Evaluation is below:

The Evaluation Process

There are two3 basic activities associated wth evaluations: creation, Use, Reporting.

  • •       Creating Evaluations: There are four basic steps to the Evaluation Creation Process: 1) Create a Evaluation;Ratings; 2) AddCreate Evaluations; 3) Create Evaluation Questions; 4) Apply Evaluations to courses
  • •       Evaluation Use - From a evaluationuser standpoint, the user needs to aaccess Courseand (orcomplete groupthe ofevaluation.
  • courses).•       Reporting - Finally, the administrator, manager or instructor can view evaluation related reports.

Users / Managers also need to be trained in how to enroll in courses that are part of a evaluation and how to Print Certificates.
